1. Purpose and Scope of the Platform
UMAY is an independent informational platform developed as an individual initiative to promote the historical, cultural, and touristic heritage of Turkey. It is offered free of charge and without commercial intent. By using the platform, each user is deemed to have accepted these terms.
2. Content and Accuracy
The information on UMAY is carefully compiled from publicly available sources such as Wikipedia, the Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the UNESCO World Heritage List. However, by their nature, historical records may occasionally differ between sources or become outdated. Accordingly, the absolute accuracy of the information presented cannot be guaranteed; users are advised to consult the relevant official institutions before making critical decisions.
3. Intellectual Property
The design, source code, user interface, and original content of the UMAY platform are the intellectual property of Süleyman Ayyılmaz. The project was initiated on September 15, 2026, and all rights are reserved.
Information relating to historical sites is presented with attribution to the relevant publicly available sources (e.g. Wikipedia, under the CC BY-SA licence); the original licence terms of such content remain in effect. UMAY's intellectual property claim is limited solely to the platform's original design, source code, and the selection and presentation of compiled content — not to the underlying source material itself.
4. Prohibited Use
UMAY is designed solely for personal, educational, and cultural informational use. Systematic scraping of the platform using automated tools, unauthorized copying and redistribution of content for commercial purposes, and any action that would disrupt or overload the system are strictly prohibited.
5. Limitation of Liability
UMAY is an informational platform that compiles third-party sourced content in good faith. The platform shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the information presented herein. No responsibility is accepted for the content of external links.
